The sun is shining, the weather is beautiful and roasting should of done a mix of toasting! Hehe next time maybe. It’s a dub one this time. Some real heavy business going on too. Turn up those speakers and chill with the bass and good vibes. Music sure does makes you feel good alright, especially in a warm summers night. Heat some meat, chill some Red Stripe, put on your dancing shoes and jam to the music.
The mix features many of my favourites over the years but one album on there which has been a big part of the soundtrack to my life since a teenager. The incredible Umoja lp from the beautiful and wonderful Dennis Emmanuel Brown own label. Every tune hits me to the core, even listening non-stop for over 25 years this recording just sounds so fresh to me. Means so much growing up, the memories, feelings and emotions which go with it. Can’t sum it up in words. It has been reissued and is still available from Discogs
The mix also feature the crazy awesome dub of Ijahman Levi’s Moulding which in itself is a brilliant tune but this gets tweaked to the maximum. Check the cover artwork out. Super reenactment of Indiana And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark but dread styleee. Whip That Tarantula!!
